She's baaaaack!! (Summer Summary)

I’ve been gone way too long. A couple of weeks’ break turned into not writing a blog all summer. It has been an incredibly busy summer, and I feel like I have so much to catch you guys up on. I have missed writing, so now it’s time to get back to me now that the boys are back into a school routine.

It’s probably best to spend the next couple of blogs detailing our summer endeavors, but I’ll give some highlights and teasers here.

Master Bath Reno!

The beginning of the summer started with a renovation of our master bathroom. This project was LONG OVERDUE, and I am so pleased with the results. Now it took entirely too long, but that’s a story for another day. However, considering this was our first major renovation, we had no idea what to expect. We finally have a grown-up bathroom, you guys. Check out some before and afters below!

Body transformation

I lost 20 pounds in 8 weeks (insert mind-blowing emoji here). Hubby and I joined the E2M Body Transformation Challenge in March. By the time our birthdays rolled around in May, you couldn’t tell us anything! It was (and has been) a life-changing experience. We went hard, trusted the process for 8 weeks, and the results speak for themselves. Since then, we have been on the struggle bus! I’ll give all the deets in a future blog. Sign up for the next round starts on September 2nd. Check out the before and after pic, run to sign up, and tell them I sent you!

8-week results! I lost 20 lbs, and Hubby lost 18.

BOYS FIRST PLANE RIDE (when there is a whole pandemic outside)

Our catering business keeps us extremely busy. Weekends are almost always spent at a pop-up or preparing for a catered event. The boys are good sports, but I know that they get tired of it. The end of summer was approaching, we had an open weekend, and we knew we had to plan something. We love planning last-minute getaways, but EVERYTHING was booked within a gas tank ride from us. Thankfully, we had the brilliant idea to use SkyMiles we accumulated from work trips and canceled vacations (due to COVID). The result was the boys’ first plane ride for a long weekend of fun at the nation’s capital. I’ll definitely write a full blog about our adventures. In the meantime, look at these happy (appropriately masked) faces!

They received their wings and got to hang out with the pilots!

Summer was a blast!

It’s back to the grind now, but we had a wonderful, safe summer. My heart is full and happy, and there is nothing you can do about it.

Grace, Space, and Love,
